Regulated first aid, clinical BLS and professional training

DTMK Training Services provides practical, regulated training for individuals, workplaces, childcare settings, healthcare and clinical teams, community groups and people preparing to teach or assess others.

You can book selected scheduled courses at our training centre in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, or arrange private training for your organisation at a suitable venue. We also support customers across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire.

The correct course depends on who needs training, where they work and the responsibilities they may be expected to undertake. Explore the main training routes below or contact us if you would like help choosing an appropriate qualification.
Which type of training do you need?

Workplace first aid training
Choose workplace first aid training when learners may be appointed as workplace first aiders or need a qualification selected through an employer’s first-aid needs assessment.

Options include Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work, requalification and annual refresher training. The Workplace First Aid page explains the differences and helps employers choose an appropriate route.

Paediatric first aid training
Paediatric courses are designed for people who care for babies and children, including early-years professionals, nursery and pre-school staff, childminders and others working with children.

Available routes include Emergency Paediatric First Aid, the fuller Paediatric First Aid qualification and combined training for learners who require both workplace and paediatric provision.

Community first aid and CPR training
Community courses provide accessible first aid, CPR and emergency-response training for individuals, families, young people, community groups and organisations whose needs do not necessarily fall within workplace or clinical qualification routes.

These options can include adult BLS and AED, all-ages BLS and AED, family first aid, young-person training, activity first aid and courses incorporating anaphylaxis awareness and response.

Clinical BLS, AED and anaphylaxis training
Clinical courses provide regulated basic life support, AED and anaphylaxis qualifications for appropriate healthcare, primary-care, pharmacy, care and clinical teams.

Different qualifications cover adults only or adults, children and infants, with or without management of anaphylaxis. These courses teach the content specified by the relevant qualification and do not constitute broader training in every medical emergency or emergency medicine used within a particular clinical setting.

Education and training qualifications
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introductory teaching qualification for people who train or intend to train adults. It can be relevant to workplace trainers, subject specialists and people beginning a role in further education or vocational learning.

Safeguarding training
Safeguarding training helps learners recognise concerns, understand responsibilities and respond appropriately when children, young people or adults may be at risk.

First aid supplies
First aid kits and selected emergency supplies can be ordered for collection. Options include workplace and vehicle first aid kits, eye-wash provision and critical-injury packs.
