Workplace First Aid Needs Assessment Briefing

A practical 20 minute briefing explaining workplace first aid requirements for employers.

Online Zoom Meeting

Course Description

Quick Summary A short 20 minute online briefing designed to help employers understand how workplace first aid requirements are assessed and what the Health and Safety Executive expects from organisations. Full details: 20 Minute Employer Briefing Workplace First Aid Requirements Explained Employers in the United Kingdom are required to ensure that appropriate first aid provision is available in the workplace. This normally begins with a first aid needs assessment to determine what training, equipment, and facilities may be required. Many organisations are unsure how this process works in practice or what level of provision is appropriate for their environment. This short online briefing is designed to help business owners, managers, and workplace safety leads better understand their responsibilities. During this 20 minute session we will cover: • how a workplace first aid needs assessment works • what the Health and Safety Executive expects from employers • how workplace size, risk level, and staffing patterns influence provision • common misunderstandings organisations encounter when planning first aid arrangements There will also be time at the end of the session for questions. The briefing will take place live online via Zoom. Joining details will be provided after registration. This session is hosted by Christopher Cook of DTMK Training Services, a Milton Keynes based Qualsafe approved training centre delivering regulated workplace first aid training across the region. Places are limited to keep the session practical and allow time for discussion.
