Course Description

Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to ensure that staff receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. Having suitable first aid provision is both a legal requirement and an important safeguard for employee wellbeing. The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. This one-day course provides learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills to respond confidently to a range of medical emergencies and incidents. What you will learn • Roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider • Assessing incidents and ensuring safety • Managing unresponsive casualties • CPR and defibrillation • Recovery Position and choking management • Seizures, shock, wounds and bleeding • Minor injuries, burns, scalds, cuts, grazes and bruises By the end of the course, learners will have the confidence and competence to provide safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations. As a regulated qualification, employers can be confident that they are meeting their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training without needing additional due diligence checks. The course content aligns with guidance from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and the Resuscitation Council UK. Who the course is for This qualification is ideal for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide emergency first aid. It is particularly suited to low-risk workplaces or those needing only one emergency first aider on site.
