Every minute without CPR and defibrillation after a cardiac arrest reduces a casualty’s chance of survival by 10%. With an estimated 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occurring in the UK each year, having the skills to respond effectively can make all the difference.

The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Adult Basic Life Support in Clinical Practice (RQF) has been specifically developed for those who work, or are preparing to work, in healthcare and clinical practice environments. This qualification focuses on the essential practical competencies required to deliver adult basic life support (BLS) and automated external defibrillation (AED) safely and effectively.

Successful candidates will:

  • Demonstrate the safe and effective administration of CPR in a clinical setting
