(extended days)

The Combined Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) and Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) is ideal for those working in environments where both workplace first aiders and paediatric first aiders are required. This makes it particularly suitable for schools, childcare settings, sports clubs and similar organisations.

Delivered over three extended training days, this specially designed course combines the full content of both qualifications into a streamlined format. By reducing duplication of topics, the course minimises the number of training days required while ensuring all learning outcomes are fully achieved.

Successful candidates will:

  • Gain the knowledge and practical skills to provide safe, prompt and effective first aid for adults, children and infants

  • Learn how to respond to a wide range of incidents including CPR and defibrillation, choking, stroke, head injuries, asthma and much more

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of both a workplace first aider and a paediatric first aider

  • Develop the confidence and competence to act effectively in emergency situations across a variety of settings

As two regulated qualifications, employers booking this course can be confident that they have fulfilled their legal responsibilities for providing quality first aid training, without the need for additional due diligence checks.

The qualification and learning outcomes are based on the recommendations of:

  • The Resuscitation Council (UK)

  • The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) training standard for First Aid at Work courses

  • The Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

  • A distinguished panel of experts in emergency medical care

This combined course is:

  • Designed for those who require both First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid certification

  • Delivered in three extended training days, reducing duplication while meeting all regulatory standards

By the end of the course, learners will have achieved both qualifications and will be fully equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to provide first aid to adults, children and infants.
