About DTMK
At DTMK Training Services, we believe first aid knowledge should be practical, confidence building, and accessible to everyone. We want every learner to leave our courses with the skills and self-confidence to act quickly in an emergency, whether at work, at school, or at home.

We are a family business with professional standards. Our team includes qualified teachers, vocational assessors, and clinically experienced trainers. Being family run means we are personally invested in the quality of every course we deliver. Our qualifications are awarded through Qualsafe, ensuring compliance with Ofqual regulation and guaranteeing nationally recognised standards.

We offer training both at our venues in Milton Keynes and in company, with blended learning options available for those who prefer to complete part of their study online. As a fully insured training provider, we deliver a wide range of courses. Our workplace, paediatric, and specialist qualifications meet national requirements, while our shorter community sessions make lifesaving knowledge accessible to families and local groups.

Our aim is simple: to help turn bystanders into lifesavers.

Experience and Expertise
Christopher Cook has more than 30 years of experience in first aid, emergency care, and education. He began his journey with St John Ambulance in 1990, progressing from Cadet to qualified First Aid Instructor. Building on this foundation, he later advanced into formal emergency care training, gaining experience through hospital and community placements across Accident and Emergency, Stroke, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Surgical, and Community Nursing settings. Frequently asked questions
Can courses be delivered at my workplace?
Absolutely! If you have enough interest from within your organisation, hosting a course at your own premises is often the most cost-effective and convenient option. We simply apply a minimum charge based on six learners, and all pricing information can be found on our Course Prices page.
Our only firm requirement is that suitable parking is available for our training team, as they will need to unload and set up equipment on arrival.
The training space itself should be appropriate for the type of course you are booking. For example, a clear, carpeted room is ideal for First Aid training, while a school hall with gym mats can work equally well for practical sessions. Your assigned trainer will contact you in advance to confirm that your venue meets all the necessary requirements and to make sure everything is set up for a smooth and engaging training day.
Can courses run in the evening or at weekends?
Yes, subject to trainer availability.
What happens if I cannot attend?
Please let us know as early as possible. Our cancellation policy is outlined in the booking terms.
Do you provide refreshments or lunch?
Tea and coffee are usually available throughout the day, and short comfort breaks are built into both the morning and afternoon sessions. Learners are encouraged to bring their own lunch or snacks if they wish, although there are plenty of options nearby.
All of our training venues have been carefully chosen for their convenience and accessibility, including their close proximity to local eateries and shops. This ensures that whether you arrive on foot or by car, you will have a variety of food choices within easy reach.
For example, our Bletchley training centre is ideally located just a few minutes’ walk from several takeaways, supermarkets, and pubs offering a good range of meals and refreshments. There is also a pleasant park nearby, perfect for enjoying a picnic or taking a short stroll during lunch breaks when the weather is fine.
Is parking available at venues?
We always aim to use venues that provide convenient and secure parking for our learners. In most cases, there is free on-site parking or a dedicated car park nearby. The exact arrangements can vary depending on the venue, but full details will always be included in your joining instructions before the course date.
For example, our Bletchley training centre benefits from a spacious shared car park with capacity for around 24 vehicles. Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the car park is only a few steps from the main entrance. Additional on-street parking can also be found nearby if the car park is busy.
Can small businesses or community groups book a private First Aid course together?
Yes. This is one of the most practical and cost-effective ways to access our high-quality training.
If several small businesses, childminders, or community organisations join forces to arrange a shared course, they can benefit from the same in-company rates that larger employers receive. Our pricing is based on a minimum charge for six learners, so by splitting that cost between several providers, professional and fully regulated first aid training becomes far more affordable.
For example, a group of local childminders could coordinate between themselves and book a private course with us, rather than paying individually for a public course. Each participant would still gain a Qualsafe-regulated qualification, and the session can be arranged on a date and time that suits the group.
If your combined group does not have a suitable space, we can also host the course at one of our training venues for a small venue hire cost, while still applying the usual in-company rate for the course itself.
This approach has become very popular with nurseries, childminders, and small workplaces across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. It saves money, offers flexibility, and helps build local networks of people who all value safety, community, and preparedness.
